Bhubaneswar: SSC NASSCOM in collaboration with NSDC conducted Rozgar Mela at Trident Group of Institutions in Bhubaneswar on 18th & 19th January 2019. Job Mela was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Honorable MLA. Mrs Aparajita Sarangi IAS (Retd) Former Jt Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development,Govt of India addressed the students, job seekers & participants from various colleges & skill training institutions across Odisha. Mr Ajit Kumar Padhi, Director, SSC NASSCOM addressed the students and highlighted the need of skill training programs developed and implemented by SSC NASSCOM for employment of rural and urban youth. Mr Ratnakar Panigrahi, State Head of NSDC created awareness on various skill training programs being implemented under PMKVY, DDUGKY schemes and stated that Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan, Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Skill Development ,Govt of India has been taking a lot of interest to further these programs through Skill India effort.. On behalf of Trident Dr. R N Satpathy – Executive Director with his team members Dr. Sakuntala Mohapatra , Dr. D N Pattnaik and other faculty members has organized the event successfully . A total of 19 companies participated in the job mela and 1700 students participated and 600 candidates were shortlisted for various jobs. Mindtree, HCL, Techmahindra , CSM, Quess Corp, Siddha Consultancy, Shiftu Technology, BPO Convergence, In2IT and many other companies participated in this event.
