MORE THAN 500 RUNNERS PARTICIPATED IN CENTROXY BHUBANESWAR CITY MARATHON BY KALINGA RUNNERS
Kalinga Runners Trust (Regd) organised 5th edition CENTROXY BHUBANESWAR CITY MARATHON today at Sikharachandi tample square Bhubaneswar. on 26th Feb. 2023 Sunday.
Mr. Lalit Das, ADG Odisha Police, Odisha inaugurated the Marathon in presence of Mr Jajati Badu, Founder & CEO Centroxy Solution, Mr. Dukhshyam Padhi, President Kalinga Runners, Mr Sangram Keshari Jena, the Secretary, Race director Mr. Deepak Kumar Mishra, Swati Mohanty, Vice President, Ayshakant Mohanty, Asst Sec, Anil Mohapatra Treasurer, and all the members of Kalinga Runners.
Mr. Dukhshyam Padhi, President Kalinga Runners, said, CENTROXY, was the title sponsor partner for this year’s event. The event had different categories with cash prizes and trophies for both men and women were awarded for top three position finishers. Along with this some other categories were also be awarded.
Speaking on this occasion Sri Sangram Jena, Secy, Kalinga Runners said, This is the 5th edition, thanks to police, traffic police for helping us to organize it smoothly. More than 500 runners age from 8 years to 80 years participates in this marathon. People from all across India had come. our small contribution to make Odisha in running community of India. All the participants got sportive T- shirt, RFID chip Bib, finisher medal, hot breakfast, run- route hydration, medical supports and ither support, e-certificate and a memorable running experience. This year it was a timed event like a National standard marathon.
Debashis Pattnaik from male division and China Gope from women division won the 1st prize under 10 Km category
Dolamani Chirgun from Male division and Sum Sedhna from women division won the 1st prize under 21.1 km category.
71 year old Mrs Urmila Das from Rourkela also participated in Marathon and successfully completed 10 km category.
K R, Kalinga Runners, Bhubaneswar established in 2017 by professional runners to promote physical fitness and good health of people in Odisha by way of enrolling members (now more than 300) for training, practice and promo runs, conducting running events and sending its members to participate in national marathon events outside Odisha.
