Bhubaneswar : The school celebrated its Annual Day “SANRACHANA” on Thursday, the 27th December 2018 amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation. The entire school participated wholeheartedly towards the success of this grand event. Shri Bipin Bihari Mishra IPS, former DGP, Odisha was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Among other dignitaries present were Sri Sarat Chandra Misra, Chairman of the school, Sri Madan Mohan Panda, Chairman of DAV-Unit-8, DAV, Chandra Sekhar Pur and DAV, Pokhariput, Dr. K.C Satapathy, Regional Officer, DAV Institutions, Odisha-Zone-1, Dr. Sujata Sahoo, Principal, DAV, Pokhariput and Asst. Regional Officer, DAV Institutions, Zone-1, and dignitaries from other institutions of the state capital.
In his address to the audience, the chief guest emphasised on the important role played by school in general and DAV institutions in particular in providing quality education to students and for their upliftment in all spheres of excellence. Regional Director Dr. K.C. Satapathy commended the steady growth of the school in all spheres of excellence and reaffirmed that DAV institutions of the zone are committed to their goal of providing quality education to its students. The meritorious students as well as their parents were felicitated by the chief guest for their contribution. Master Pratyush Kumar Mallik bagged the all rounder prize for the session2017-18, parents of Master Swastik Mohanty one of the highest scorers in the AISSCE-2017-18, were awarded ‘Parents of the Year Award’. Master Keshab Prasad Harichandan was awarded with the Promising Student while Miss Ankita Patra bagged the Best Girl Child Award for the session2017-18 and Miss Payosnee Mishra was awarded Narendra Giri Memorial Award2018-19 as the best artist of the school. It was followed by a colourful cultural extravaganza based on the theme ‘SANRACHANA’ which was meticulously presented by more than 800 students from L.K.G to XII. The whole programme ended smoothly under the direct supervision of the Principal, Sj. Bipin Kumar Sahoo.
