AM/NS India in association with Helpage India rolls out Mobile Medical unit at Paradeep
To provide basic health care service at the doorstep of people in periphery villages at Paradeep, the CSR wing of ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) has rolled out Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) in collaboration with Helpage India.
The MMU is equipped with sphygmomanometer BP Machine, Weighing Machine and other state-of-the-art facilities and medicines. It has a qualified doctor accompanied by Pharmacist and attendant. The Mobile Medical unit will be operational for five days in a week. The preliminary health services and medicines will be provided to the villagers of all age groups free of cost. The villagers from Nuagarh, Baldia, Singitala, Paradeepgarh, Mushadia,Chakradharpur, Handia, Bhutmundei, Pipal, Barei and Bimanasi will get benefited through this initiative.
The MMU was flagged off by Sri Suresha G, Executive Director, AM/NS India, Odisha facility. Dr Vikas Yadevendu, Head -CSR, Sri Debasish Swain, Lead- CSR and other officials of the company were also present.
On the occasion, Sri Suresha G said, “Healthcare is one of the core thrust areas of our CSR activities. With an aim to promote wellness and preventive healthcare, we make all efforts to provide basic medical facilities to villagers who need medical assistance and the launch of today’s MMU is one more step in this regard”.
