Amarnagar emerged champion in 11th Adani DPCL Volleyball Challenge Trophy

Dhamra: To inspire rural youths towards sports and play for pride, Adani Foundation organized a two day long “11th Adani DPCL Volleyball Tournament” from 30th to 31st December 2018 at Dosinga Market Ground. 10 teams of 8 Panchayats participated in this tournament. Gradually this tournament has become an integral part of integrated education.

Amarnagar beat Karanpalli and reached in the final. The other participants were Banshada, Kaninali,Dhamra,Jagula, Kaithakhola and Panchutikiri.

Every year Adani-Dhamra port is organizing this tournament to encourage the rural volley ball players. District sports officer Shri Manoj Dash participated and enjoyed the tournament.

Around 2500 players/workers/villagers took part in this championship. On this occasion District Sports Officer Shri Manoj Das highlighted on the role of sports to participate the youngsters in various sectors those who help in nation building. He praised the rural player’s participation in this tournament.

He also focused on the talent of these youngsters and they need a suitable medium to reach at their goals. We are trying our best to give a suitable environment in nation building. Sri Dash also said that necessary steps are being taken for the development of the talents and to make them rising sportsmen for which they would be able to participate in national as well as in international level competitions.
