International Women’s Day is celebrated by the Red Swastik Society Odisha.

Bhubaneswar: International Women’s Day has been organized by the Red Swastik Society Odisha at Geet Gobind Sadan. For the first time, 40 disabled women in Odisha have been provided with electtic hands by this social service organisation . This programme is i organised in collaboration with Inali Foundation supported by OMC.Chartered Accountant Rajeev Sahu, Chartered Accountant Sharat Chandra Bhadra, Alok Pal (Director, Human Resources, Odisha Mining Corporation), Tapan Mohanty (Managing Director, z Estate), Smt. Namarata cadha (State Women’s Commission) and Red Swastik Society Odisha Branch Chairman Bijoy Acharya joined as the guest in this evening. With the help of Government of odisha Disability Empowerment Department and Red Swastik Society Odisha Branch, the information of disabled women has been collected from different parts of the state. On behalf of the Red Swastik Society Odisha branch, various programs have been taken in hand for the development of the differently abled in the state and will be taken forward, Red Swastik Society Odisha Branch Secretary Debasis Patnaik said. Ms.Samikhya Patnaik (Sports Journalist), Ms. Sadhwi Sindura (Biodiversity Conservationist),Educator and Eminent Writer Ms. Ashalata Dash, Arjuna Awardee Ms. Minati Mohapatra, Ms. Revati pani(Founder member of craft council of odisha), Entrepreneur and Editor Annapurna Dash,singer Sushmita Das were awarded for their work.The program included music performances by various renowned singers,a performance by a disability girl child Dibya joyti mohapara also very much presentable. With this a play by renowned Storyteller Prachitara on wemen empowerment with disability which is fabulous to hear and all are shadaneed with tears.All the members of the Red Swastik Society odisha were present on the occasion.
