DAV Pokhariput Celebrates Annual Day ‘JASHNN’

Bhubaneswar: DAV Public School, Pokhariput celebrated its first day of Annual Function ‘JASHNN-2018’ on Wednesday on the school premises on a grand and spectacular scale which witnessed the lively and energetic participation of more than 700 students.
The celebration commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest Justice Bijay Kumar Nayak, Chair Person, Odisha State Law Commission, Guest of Honour IPS Dr. Satyajit Naik and the other dignitaries followed by the musical chorus ‘Amrutara Dipti Ame’. Dr. K.C. Satapathy, the Regional Officer of DAV Institutions, Odisha Zone in his welcome address emphasized on the coordination among students, teachers, parents and management for progress of the school. The school Principal Dr. Sujata presented the Annual report by enumerating the school’s achievements and the latest milestones in all arenas. The students, the teachers and the other staff members were felicitated by the guests for their noteworthy achievements in scholastic and co-scholastic areas.
In his address, the Chief Guest opined that rise of nationalism in every Indian and teaching of law in very early school life will bring a great change in national development. Guest of Honour Dr. Nayak in his speech mentioned that education must go beyond textbooks comprising spiritual and moral values which will inspire students to stand against corruption and crimes. Sri M. M. Panda, Chairman of the School Managing Committee said that excellent coordination is required for an educational establishment to put itself on the national map and congratulated the school for doing so.
Shri Suresh Chandra Mantri, Chief Co-Ordinator, The Samaj and Ms. Bhagyabati Nayak, Former Principal DAV Unit- VIII, Principals of many schools of DAV, Odisha Zone were present on the occasion.
In cultural presentations, the students mesmerized the audience through their performances in the programmes named Jaya Hai, Wings of Happiness, Cinderella, Al-Khemia Dance, Padharo Mhaare Desh and Jashnn – E- Bharat. Parents were the happiest gathering as they see their children performing so elegantly on stage.
