The 5-Day INWEC National Women’s Business Mela 2.0 Concludes on a High Note with the Esteemed Presence of His Excellency Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, Honourable Governor of Odisha, Joined by Dr. Jai Madaan and Prahlad Kakkar.*

Bhubaneswar, 5th May 2025 – The INWEC National Women’s Business Mela 2.0, a dynamic platform celebrating entrepreneurial excellence and empowering women in business, concluded its 5-day journey with a grand and inspiring Day 5, marked by distinguished dignitaries, trailblazing women, and cultural vibrance.

The final day was graced by the presence of His Excellency Honourable Governor of Odisha, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, along with the renowned figures such as Prahlad Kakkar, the legendary ad filmmaker, and Dr. Jai Madaan, a spiritual guide and wellness expert. Their presence, alongside other distinguished guests, added depth, inspiration, and energy to a power-packed finale.

Ms. Subha Sharma, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government of Odisha, delivered the keynote address, focusing on the government’s initiatives aimed at advancing women’s entrepreneurship. The day also featured the felicitation of Tribal Stall Owners and the recognition of startups, self-help groups (SHGs), and individuals who have made significant contributions to business and community development.
As part of the event, several distinguished individuals were honoured for their remarkable achievements. Dr. Maya Gantayat received the Lifetime Achievement Award in Medicine from the Honourable Governor of Odisha. Anupam Patnaik and Barsha Patnaik were recognised for their outstanding contributions to Odia Cinema. Ms. Nisha Jamwal was celebrated for her exceptional work in design, branding, and philanthropy, while Dr. Jai Madaan was honoured for his significant contributions to astrology, vastu, and holistic wellness. These awards celebrated the transformative impact these individuals have had in their respective fields.

A One-on-One Session with Dr. Jai Madaan discussed the “Role of Spirituality for Women in Business”, moderated by Swati Kejriwal (Co-Convenor, INWEC), which underscored the importance of spirituality in leadership and business.

The Panel Discussion on Finance & Madaaning titled “Next Level Now: Building a Bigger Business” featured industry experts such as Pradyumna Choudury (DGM, SIDBI), Dinesh Pruthi (Chief General Manager, SBI), Priyadarshini Mohanty (Director HL, Kalinga Commercial Corporation Limited), and Ms. Nitisha Mann (Deputy Director, MSME-DFO, Ministry of MSME, Government of India), with CS Sunita Mohanty (Company Secretary and Entrepreneur) as the moderator. The discussion provided valuable insights into growing and scaling businesses.

The One-on-One Session focused on “Sparks of Creativity: on Entrepreneurial Innovation featuring Prahlad Kakkar – the Veteran ad filmmaker, Founder of Genesis Films, and Branding expert moderated by Nisha Jamwal – Luxury brand consultant, Interior architect, columnist, and Motivational speaker and offered fascinating insights into the innovative world of creative entrepreneurship.
The Brand Spotlight session featured Dr. Sampada Sethia, Founder of UBEAU Advanced Aesthetics Clinic, who shared her brand’s remarkable journey and the innovations it has brought to the beauty and wellness industry.

The event was further energised with cultural performances, including a Flash Mob by Leaps and Beats in the outdoor area, followed by an engaging performance by Subhashish Dance Troupe. The day concluded with a Yoga Movement Dance by BJEM School, choreographed by Pushpanjali Senapati, Yoga & Holistic Wellness Expert, offering a serene and reflective end to the event.

The 5-day INWEC National Women’s Business Mela 2.0 concluded with a powerful impact, celebrating the extraordinary potential and achievements of women entrepreneurs.
