Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of World Cancer Day, a special program “Sanjivani” organized at the Golf Club in Bhubaneswar by Red Swastik Society Odisha branch, the leading social service organization of the country. Mr. Asit Tripathy (Former Chief Secretary, Chairman, Western Odisha Development Council and President Golf Club) and Mr. Chander Shekhar Sharma (Chief General Manager, SBI) were the chief guests and Mr. Tapan Mohanty Secretary, Golf Club Bhubaneswar) ,CA Rajeev Sahu (Principal Partner, SRB) and Mr. Sidhant Mohapatra (Ollywood Actor, Former MP) were joined as the guest of honour In this program. This event organized under the chairmanship of Mr. Bijoy Acharya, President of Red Swastik Society Odisha Branch, financial assistance was given to 5 no of cancer survivor on behalf of Red Swastik Society Odisha Branch. Along with this, in the occasion Persons with Disabilities, out of more than 300 people with disabilities measured previously on the eve of world disabled day, 100 people were given artificial organs. An unique ramp show was performed in which lead members of the golf club along with disabled people walked on the ramp. On this occasion, various cultural programs were performed and people who given their contribution in various fields such as police, doctors, sports, social services, cancer survivors, dibangs, coordinator, dance, management, entrepreneurs, were honored with special honours. Mr. Debasis Patnaik, secretary of Red Swastik Society conducted the program and said that – Red Swastik Society has been working for the welfare of cancer survivors and differently abled people since last 22 years. Along with this, in the coming days, effort will continue and expand the service as well as how best services can be reached at the doorsteps of cancer patients. Sagar Mishra, Gitika Patnaik, Rimjim Patra, Kunal Kishore Das, Pramod Patra, Vandita Subudhi were among the prominent members of the Red Swastik Society also present in this occasion.
