AcSIR-Research Scholars Day celebrated at CSIR- IMMT Bhubaneswar
CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar has organized the AcSIR- Research Scholars Day on 19th April 2023, on the aegis of third G20 Education Working Group meet at Bhubaneswar.
Aligned with the theme ‘future of work’, the institute nurtures the young researchers for futuristic deliberations. On this occasion, a poster presentation was organized among students who have enrolled under AcSIR-for a doctoral programme. The event was
inaugurated by Chief Guest Prof. Sunil K. Singh, Director, CSIR-NIO, Goa, Guest of Honour Prof. Manoj K. Dhar, Director, AcSIR, Prof. D. S. Rao, Dean, AcSIR and Dr. G. Narahari Sastry, Director, CSIR-IMMT Bhubaneswar.Inaugurating the programme Chief Guest Prof. Sunil K. Singh, Director, CSIR-NIO, Goa, said we have to depend on science to enhance ourselves reliant and increase our economy. We have to organize these type of progrmme to increase our scientific knowledge and make scholars in our society.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. G. Narahari Sastry, Director, CSIR-IMMT Bhubaneswar said, as a part of G20 CSIR IMMT the only institute to do such activity. Effort of IMMT is to address and solve various global issues through futuristic R&D deliberations. Hope such programmes will definitely help in this process. Speaking on this initiative Prof. Manoj K. Dhar, Director, AcSIR said, ACSIR always support to connect to the researchers. How researchers can be supported and contribute to society and develop their research through G20, Y20, etc
Theme of this event was ‘Future of work’. Total 26 posters set up by AcSIR PhD students who are from CSIR IMMT Bhubaneswar presented on the resources about Mineral and Materials field. All activities were judged by senior scientists. Dr. Bamaprasad Bag, AcSIR coordinator conveyed the vote of thanks to the gathering.
