ANNUAL FUNCTION-TWISHA 2024 By BMPS TAKHYASILA SCHOOL.
Bhubaneswar Model Public School, Takshila, celebrated its Annual Day-TWISHA 2024 with a display of immense talent in order to glorify the 14 years of academic excellence and existence of this institution which is setting standards across the globe. It was a much-awaited day when the students, staff and parents were filled with zeal to witness the extraordinary endeavours of the students, who worked enthusiastically for this occasion. The programme took place on 6th December 2024 in the school premises.
The magnificence of the day was made stronger by the presence of State Law, Works, Excise Minister Sri Prithviraj Harichandan, as the Guest of Honour. The radiance of the day was made stronger by the presence school Chairman Mr Tutul Kishore Das and the Director Mrs Sikata Das. The event was also graced by The, Principal Mrs Lipsita Mohanty and other dignitaries of the city were also present on the occasion. The programme began with the rendition of Veda chanting followed by the school song. The cultural fiesta of Day 1 was marked by a series of exotic talents thus creating the festive mood. The musical fiesta by the school choir group was the first programme to set the mood of the audience. The scintillating and power packed performances like Chaturdevi, Sizzling Sambar –the south Indian dance and Tint of Tribal – Dhemsa folk dance and English play Aladdin’s Quest 2.0 were greeted with thunderous applause by the audience. Saraswati Vandana and Qawalli by the budding singers of Takshila Family, had their own mesmerizing impact.on closing ceremony Raag Bihaag, Dance in Drizzle, One Love, English Play – The Tempest, TriTaal Classical Fusion, Melody Makers Live Orchestra, Funky Feet Fiesta, Hindi Play Gatha Baal Nayakon ki, Nritya Navranga etc.
Speaking on the grand day, the Guests of honour, blessed the students and expressed their happiness to address such a talented gathering of hard-working Takshilites, and highlighted the school’s continuous success in the field of Education. Speaking on the Occasion, the Principal of the School expressed her gratitude to the guests for taking out time from their busy schedules to be a part of the celebration. She appraised the house with school’s unflinching efforts to cater to the holistic development of a child’s personality. She also presented a brief report on the notable achievements of the students in academics and co-curricular events which have brought glory to the school. The programme culminated with the Vote of thanks.
