22 successful Odisha women honored by Rotary District 3262.

Bhubaneswar: For the first time, Rotary District 3262 has honoured 22 women from Odisha who have reached the top in various professions. In a grand ceremony organized at Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Odisha Research Center, India’s senior former minister, MP, writer and social worker Smt. Maneka Gandhi attended as the chief guest and honoured all these women.

Rotary District 3262’s Rotarian YagynShish Mohapatra and Rotarian Itun Mohapatra organized the grand event. Rotarian Sonali Rath and Rotarian Akanksha Mohapatra, with the help of other Rotarians, skillfully managed the stage. Rotarian Major Dr. Sumitra Mishra presided over the function and Rotarian Sasmita Dash co-chaired.
22 successful women, including Smt. Maneka Gandhi, Rotary Uttariya, presented mementos and gave a speech to inspire them to do better in future. In her speech, Smt. Gandhi gave examples from her life and talked about the obstacles faced by women at every step, but she was of the firm opinion that if we follow the footsteps of these successful women who overcame all obstacles and fulfilled their dreams, our country can definitely become a developed India. In her speech, she paid tribute to her mother and expressed the opinion that all mothers should take the responsibility of building the future of the country. She urged all men and women to adopt kindness towards humans and animals as the best virtue.
At the end of the meeting, all the Rotarians who had participated and managed the program were also honored. More than 300 Rotarians attended the meeting.

On this occasion, Smt. Maneka Gandhi inaugurated a medical home for animals built by Rotary District 3262 at the Bhubaneswar branch of the organization “People for Animals” and members of this organization shared various information and knowledge related to the treatment of animals.
