Govt to appoint 17,543 Sikshya Sahayaks PDF Print E-mail

Bhubaneswar: In order to fill the vacant posts for the teachers in primary schools in the state, the government has decided to recruit 17,543 sikshya sahayaks (SS).


As per the decision, a total of 17,543 sikshya sahayaks (SS) including in Urdu, Telugu and Bengali languages will be appointed for the vacant posts in different primary schools.


The decision was taken at a high level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday. The mass education department has been asked to give priority to the mother tongues in the state.


The district collectors would decide the number of language teachers to be recruited in their regions.
