Bhawanipatna: Former Minister Kiran Singh Deo passed away following a heart attack in West Bengal on Sunday. He was 81 and survived by three sons and two daughters.


Singh Deo had visited West Bengal's Purlia to attend a wedding function. He suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and he was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead on Sunday.


The leader had represented Kesinga constituency in Kalahandi district from 1990-95 as a Janata Dal candidate. He was the minister of state for Works Housing and Urban Development when Biju Patnaik was the Chief Minister.
